The Ribbon Cutting of The Brick dining hall at Deerfield Academy

The Fontaine team was honored to celebrate at the ribbon cutting for Deerfield Academy’s new dining hall, The Brick, a transformation of the original dining facility into a space where the entire campus community can come together. The project expanded and revitalized the existing dining hall, maintaining the character of the original 1948 building while modernizing the kitchen and servery, improving circulation, and reinforcing the Academy’s focus on locally sourced food, wellness, and sustainability.
 
On an active independent school campus, work like this takes constant coordination, and strong relationships make all the difference. Working alongside Deerfield Academy, our team kept campus life moving with minimal interruption, including constructing a temporary dining hall so students and employees always had a comfortable place to dine throughout the process.
 
The Brick marks another milestone in our ongoing partnership with Deerfield Academy, and our team is proud to remain on campus as construction begins on the Academy’s new West Campus Dormitory.
