Topping off Ceremony at DeBerry-Swan School
On Tuesday January 4th, Fontaine along with state officials celebrated the Topping Off Ceremony for the new $95 million, state-of-the-art DeBerry-Swan Elementary School. Working with the City of Springfield and Dinisco Design, this 155,000 SF three-story school will serve 800+ students along with 120 pre-k students. This new school is located on the existing, fully occupied DeBerry School site and will remain fully occupied throughout construction. This new building will consolidate the two schools, while each maintaining their individual identity. This new school is on schedule to be completed by August of 2023.

This project will transform an existing space into a state-of-the-art facility featuring advanced technology, collaborative work areas, and specialized spaces for digital media production. With construction taking place during the academic year, our team will work closely with the school to ensure minimal disruption to students, faculty, and campus life. At Fontaine, we believe that construction is about more than buildings—it’s about building lasting relationships.
