Recently, the Fontaine team has partnered with Trinity Health to complete the Andy Yee Palliative Care Unit. This special space at Trinity Health’s Mercy Medical Center is dedicated to providing comfort and support for patients and families during end-of-life care and chronic illness management. It honors the legacy of the late Andy Yee, a beloved local restaurateur and hospital champion.
The renovation unfolded in three phases, each designed to enhance comfort, function, and consistency throughout the space. Phase 1 focused on the consultation, family, and reflection rooms, as well as the hallway corridor and ADA-accessible bathroom. Phase 2 brought updates to the nurses’ station, patient rooms, and key finishing details. Phase 3 completed the transformation with renovations to additional patient rooms and administrative areas—creating a space that better serves patients, families, and staff.
You have created a collaborative work culture that Fontaine Brothers should be incredibly proud of. This new unit will hopefully make an enormous difference in so many patient lives. Thank you on behalf of all the patients who benefit from your work.
