The new East Bridgewater Junior/Senior High School was completed for the 2013-14 school year. The 215,000-square-foot school includes a new track and synthetic turf field for the town, as well as a wastewater treatment facility.
The project was designed to achieve LEED-Gold certification under the LEED for Schools 2009 system. The goals of the construction team included diverting more than 75% of construction waste from landfills, maintaining excellent indoor air quality throughout construction, and utilizing regional and recycled materials as often as possible.
