Fontaine constructed the Easthampton Public Safety Complex as a modern, centralized emergency response facility designed to replace the city’s aging police and fire stations with a unified public safety headquarters. The 38,000+ SF municipal complex consolidated police, fire, EMS, and emergency dispatch operations into a highly coordinated facility built to support 24/7 emergency response and long-term community needs.
Designed to reflect Easthampton’s historic civic architecture, the building features brick masonry construction, articulated façades, recessed window systems, and durable interior finishes tailored to the demands of public safety operations. The facility includes multiple apparatus bays, emergency communications and dispatch infrastructure, secure police and detention areas, administrative offices, training rooms, conference spaces, and public meeting areas integrated within a carefully planned operational layout.
The project required the coordination of specialized mechanical, electrical, communications, and security systems necessary for continuous emergency operations, along with complex site and circulation planning to accommodate police, fire, EMS, and public access functions. The completed complex modernized the city’s emergency response capabilities while creating a durable and highly functional civic facility designed to serve the Easthampton community for decades.
