Beal Elementary School

The Beal Elementary School project consists of a new 141,600-square-foot elementary school serving approximately 800 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Located on an 18.5-acre site on Lake Street in Shrewsbury, the project replaces a 100,000 SF aging facility with a modern school designed to support today’s learning environment and is targeting LEED Silver certification.

Funded through the Massachusetts School Building Authority program, the work included demolition of the existing building and construction of a new two-story, steel-framed structure on spread footings.

The project also involved full site development, including a new access road, parking areas, playfields, utilities, and landscaping, resulting in a complete campus that serves both the school and the surrounding community.
