The 57,000 SF Culinary and Nutrition Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed to support the SPS food service program expansion plan. The program included producing and packaging food components to support the breakfast in the classroom, dinner, summer meals, and homebound student feeding programs, centralizing catering and vending services, cold and dry food storage. In addition, the farm to school program is being expanded to include local farm partnerships, school gardens, composting, field to freezer program, produce processing, and local purchasing and sustainability.
