The Doherty Memorial High School is a 422,000 SF new state-of-the-art high school with a projected construction budget over $264 Million. The Doherty project is the first public project being delivered under the City of Worcester’s construction diversity program. The Doherty project is also a reflection of the community’s commitment to sustainability incorporating an HVAC and Solar PV design. The selected power systems coupled with a superior envelope design will result in a better than net-zero facility. This means that the building is designed not only be carbon neutral, but to be carbon negative – Doherty will be the first municipal building in Worcester to achieve this distinction.
