Franklin Street Fire Station
Worcester, Massachusetts
Opened in 2008, the Franklin Street Fire Station was constructed on what many in Worcester refer to as “sacred ground”. The new state of the art facility was built on the site of the Worcester Cold Storage warehouse; where on December 3, 1999 six member of the Worcester Fire Department gave their lives battling a fire. The project includes a memorial to the “Worcester 6” who will always be remembered for their spirit and valor.
