Mountain View Elementary School

Easthampton, Massachusetts

Mountain View School in Easthampton MA is a 177,000 SF school that consolidates the city's three elementary schools – Maple, Center and Pepin – with White Brook Middle School and for Kindergarten through eighth grade. The new building was completed on the White Brook Middle School site. The project included the demolition of the White Brook Middle. The new structural steel framed building consisted of three stories with multiple wings off of the main building. The project also included site improvements both on the school site and to the surrounding roadways which included storm water, sanitary, utilities, hard surface parking, sidewalks, site retaining walls, and landscaping.

Even during a pandemic, where unique challenges arose, Joel Kent and Mike Sarnelli worked collaboratively to solve every issue. I feel like they have been committed to working hard for Easthampton, addressing any issue and concern that arose in a timely manner. If they had another project, I would not hesitate to work with them again.
