Working with the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority and Wendel WD Architecture, this project consisted of a 227,000 SF Operations & Vehicle Maintenance Facility for the Pioneer Valley Transportation Authority. The building features a modern metal panel exterior with full-height curtainwall glazing, aluminum storefront/windows and a flat membrane roofing system. The site features 290 parking spaces for visitors and employees, two restored wetland areas, five infiltration basins, landscape & plantings, ornamental fencing and guardrails, ornamental vertical lift gates for traffic control, two above-ground diesel storage tanks, two emergency generators and a cell tower for communications. Additional features include a maintenance area, office space, conference rooms, common area, and an operators day room with lockers, a café and a large communications/dispatch room.
