This project consists of the construction of an addition/renovation to the existing David Prouty High School will include the abatement and demolition of approximately 48,000 GSF of a three-story classroom wing and 17,000 GSF of a Gym wing, the construction of an approximate 94,000 GSF addition generally consisting of classrooms, gym, administrative spaces and other miscellaneous support spaces and the abatement and renovation of approximately 33,000 GSF of the existing single-story Cafeteria/Auditorium wing.
The proposed building, with the addition and renovation portions, totals approximately 127,000 GSF. The sitework consists of all new stormwater drainage, new utilities, new parking lots, new vehicular paths, new landscaping, new athletic fields, new track and field accommodations, etc. The work will be phased and will be ongoing while the existing facility is in operation.
