The Raymond E. Shaw School is a new 90,000 SF school for students in grades 3-6. This new school was built adjacent to old school that was demolished as a part of this project. The new building is 2-stories with special needs and flex-use spaces located at grade level. The library, cafetorium and gym are centrally located to accommodate after school and community programs. The second floor features two science/technology/engineering rooms co-located adjacent to an art room and outdoor, rooftop classroom to extend learning outdoors . The building was designed and constructed to take advantage of natural landscape elements.
"The Shaw School site is very congested as it sits close to the existing school. Alex Omar has done a great job organizing and keeping the site clean from debris. The overall project management provided by Rob and Chad has been excellent. It has been a pleasure working with Fontaine.”
